Episode 82 - The Good Place

Welcome! Everything is fine. Maybe. Because we're talking about The Good Place! Mostly, we're talking about philosophy, ethics, and our personal moral failings and strengths. It's a bit heavy.

To get right to The Good Place talk, skip to 00:14:20.

Warnings: This episode is censored, but contains numerous uses of "hell" as well as some conversations about the fear of death.

Episode 58 - Sailor Moon Super S

It's time for episode 58, which means we're knee-deep in Sailor Moon Super S! Want bizarre circus performers, crop tops for boys, and sweet horse loving? Look no further.

Warning: There's a bit of Freudian analysis in here, which is almost deserving of a warning in itself. But, more importantly, there's some discussion of genitalia with regard to some of the imagery of this season—this episode may not be the best to listen to with children unless you want weird questions about what penis envy and castration anxiety are.

Mistakes: Missy definitely meant that it was Usagi who was less jealous in the Sailor Moon R movie, but oh well.

Episode 43 - Gatekeeping

We're back with episode 43, discussing gatekeeping. What is it? Why does it happen? Are we immune to it? How does this tie into current geeky events? Also, a long and ridiculous intro full of weird jokes.

Warning: We're not joking about the inappropriateness of our intro. We're sorry, we don't know what got into us--but it's funny, so we kept it. Also, we don't know why Merri's audio sounds autotuned other than that it was our first time editing in GarageBand and it wanted Merri to have a little T-Pain vibe going. It will probably not happen again.

  • Episode 40 - A Few of Our Favorite Things

We're back with episode 40, discussing a few of our favorite things—namely, Pushing Daisies and Star Wars Rebels. After our vacation and a downer of a bonus episode, we thought we'd spend some time enjoying each others' favorite TV shows and discussing what it is we like about them and what that says about us.

Mistakes: Missy keeps saying 10 Mockingbird Lane instead of Mockingbird Lane because she was confusing it with 10 Cloverfield Lane. The Munsters, of course, live at 1313 Mockingbird Lane. Please stopping putting 'Lane' in the titles of things, thank you.

  • Episode 36 - Apologies

We’re back after a whirlwind weekend at Emerald City Comicon with a late episode on apologies. What makes a good apology? How do you learn from your mistakes? Aren’t we all just too oversensitive? (No. No we’re not.)

As a heads up, this episode contains spoilers (with warnings) for The 100 and Star Wars Rebels. There are also spoilers for Life is Strange and Supernatural, which we forgot to warn for—they’re vague enough that you might not notice, but we probably ought to let you know anyway.

Mistakes: When Merri says that Felicia Day died, she means her character. Felicia Day is alive and well.
